Learning for Life Programme

The success of our programme is rooted at its design to produce sustainable and durable impact, not only on the children, their parents and the community as a whole.

We focus on 3 key development areas

1. Education for children

2. Training for teachers

3. Coaching for parents

The BSB Programme (Belajar Sambil Bermain – ‘learning while playing’) focuses on experiential learning through play, action, and creativity. It nurtures personal talents, adapts to individual learning styles and context while encouraging exploration and fun.

Through diverse play-based activities, 40 children develop essential skills in language, math, communication, and creativity. They enhance their ability to listen, express ideas, problem-solve, and collaborate, all while engaging in storytelling, arts, music, and interactive role-playing—preparing them for primary school with confidence and joy.

After-school lessons

Primary years: Around 70 kids join our after-school program, where they get to learn and play in a fun, familiar space. Many have been with us since nursery, so we know them well, but new kids are always welcome! They enjoy storytelling, math, science experiments, geography, drawing, and talking about topics they find interesting.

Secondary years: About 20 teenager pupils come by a few times a week to study world studies, English, and communication skills, with plenty of personal support. We cover things like career goals, talents, and global citizenship, and even tackle tough topics through fun, self-made plays—lots of laughs included!

2. Training for teachers

Teachers work in a paid job and learn by practicing. They work tailor-made on their professional and personal development. They learn to master pedagogical and didactic skills, and how to develop lesson materials and broaden their general knowledge. In their next job, they can transfer their knowledge and skills to fellow teachers.

3. Coaching for parents

Parent involvement is key to our program. We host introductory meetings, themed discussions on parenting, and public consultations. Parents also enjoy performances marking project completions, followed by tea and coffee. Individual meetings and reports help parents stay engaged, offering insights and home activity suggestions for their kids.

Our educational center has created a lot of opportunities for the local community, provided quality education to children, guided their parents and trained young teachers helping them find work. We’ve been doing it for over 20 years with remarkable impact.

This is only possible thanks to the unwavering support of passionate contributors like yourself. See below how to help
