Primitivo is a grape variety that has found its ideal home in the beautiful southern Italian region of Apulia. The grape owes its name to the fact that it ripens early. The Latin 'primativus' and the old Italian word 'primaticcio' both mean 'early ripening'.
This Primitivo from the quality producer Geografico has a deep red color. The scent contains fruit flavors such as cherries and blackberries wrapped in chocolate. These are nicely reflected in the taste, complemented by vanilla and cocoa. The freshness of this wine is particularly striking.
