Description
In the somewhat warmer Baden, the grapes often ripen more than the Pinot Noir from the French Burgundy. Many hours of sunshine ensure this. The rain and associated cloud cover are often held back by the French Vosges. This results in beautifully ripe aromas of blackberries with subtle aromas of cherries. Sultry attack. Expressive dark fruit. Finishing in the taste with a long aftertaste and a fine light tannin structure. Excellent to drink slightly chilled for a bit more freshness and fruit. Delicious with some local meats, as an aperitif. Excellent to combine with poultry such as guinea fowl or pheasant from the oven. The earthy aspect of the Pinot Noir also goes well with cooked red beets, for example.
